Service1 provide a complete in house direct mail service for print brokers and managers who are looking to simplify the supply chain. We have capacity to laser and mail 400,000 items per week – specialising in quick turnaround, time sensitive mailings and mailings where the lasered substrate is “awkward”.
We spotted the opportunity to grow our business with the investment in our Hunkeler machines that produce integrated products. Our customers were asking us to produce peel out membership or retailer discount cards as A4 stationery and then deliver to third parties for subsequent mailing work. Keeping the stationery here in reels or sheets and providing mailing services simplifies the supply chain and eliminates a delivery charge. Also no more instances of being in the middle of “discussions” about overs between your two suppliers!
In house we provide printed laser stationery – upto 10 colours, database management and data processing, personalisation by ink jet or laser, machine enclosing into envelopes and despatch to Royal Mail or all downstream access providers.
Data Services:
We have a data processing team of 4 using industry leading GMC PrintnetT and Cygnus software tools. We provide a number of cleansing operations: address cleansing against Royal Mail PAF; merge/ purge and deduplication and data cleaning against Mortascreen, MPS, GAS etc.
Personalisation:
Using cold fuse laser technology means we are able to laser on difficult substrates – NCR papers, laminates and vinyls. We can laser duplex in line – a far safer option than two passes.
Our ink jet lines will personalise on items up to 4mm thick, to high quality with quick drying ink upto 600dpi. Our latest investment is in a Konica Minolta Bizhub 8000 sheetfed digital press, personalising variable text and images in colour at 80ppm. We can print duplex upto 300gsm.
Enclosing:
Our enclosing machines will insert up to 6 items including open edged leaflets and booklets.
