The market

This is a hugely sensitive and important area to hospitals. Each hospital operates its own system for advising women about the outcome of their breast screen test.

More detail on the product2-part set, both parts on 100gsm paperwith a horizontal perforation allowing the top 190mm to be detached from the bottom section of 90mm … essentially giving you two documents combined into one

Top section
The two sheets are glued above the perforation on three sides to form a pocket , open at the head. The radiographer makes notes on the outside of what is effectively a large envelope. It also allows patient notes, correspondence and reports to be filed away for future reference.

Lower section
This 90mm portion is glued on four sides to form a self-sealed mailer, which is detached from the top section and posted or handed to the patient. This section is also perforated to allow the recipient to tear open the mailer to reveal the negative test result.
Positive results are handled via a different system, but as the vast majority of results are negative, this method gives the hospital the most cost-effective solution.
