What is it?
Optical Character Recognition is a means by which a machine can read a number, which must be printed in an OCR font.
Data Entry through OCR is faster, more accurate, and more efficient than keystroke data entry. Desktop OCR scanners can read typewritten data into a computer at rates up to 2400 characters per minute!
