Used by PCTs for mailing out bulk runs to patients reminding them about child immunisation, injection appointments and other hospital appointments.
More detail on the product
l Fanfold computer stationery, normally 5” or 6” deep
l Some mailers are supplied 2-wide thus making them faster for the PCT to process
l Can be a combination of hot spot carbonising paper and NCR paper
l Glued to form a self-enclosed mailer
l Can be sent straight out in the post if the customer prints a postage paid mark on                the front of the mailer
l All patient information is confidentially contained within the self enclosed envelope.
Other notes
Some hospitals will use a plain A4 sheet, laser print with personalised patient details and then enclose this into an outer envelope. Other hospitals will laser personalise a 1-piece mailer.
These methods are sometimes considered the more sexy option, but they attract much higher costs. With budgets under constant review, it is no surprise that many customers have remained loyal to the fanfold mailer.
