• the leaflet to include five stickers, each one
showing a different ‘free’ gift
• full colour print on both sides of the leaflet
• on heavyweight 300gsm board
• delivery of 25,000 by Tuesday week, for the
start of
the show.
THINKING IT THROUGH
Sticky’s thought process
went
something like this……
1. All Labels Ltd can do the
delivery, but only on
standard self-adhesive
material
2. we could produce with five
integrated labels on a 200gsm, but No-Stress wants to print on the reverse in full colour
3. it’s still not heavy enough
4. … aaaaaargh, aaaaaargh!
Which was when she sent her last-ditch, fingers-crossed, hit-and-hope email to Service.
ANSWERING PRAYERS
Mission Control at Service swung into action, but in the words of the infamous boxing promoter Don King, the chances of success looked “… slim to none, with slim
outta town.”
So in time honoured fashion, we slept on it.
The solution, when it came, was cunning.
• print two sheets of 150gsm material
• add integrated labels to the front page
• glue the back page to the front page
Voila!
A 300gsm leaflet with 5 stickers, printed in full colour on both sides of the paper. Now all we had to do was worry about that rapid turnaround.

Sticky is one of those great sales
execs, who thrives on a challenge
and doesn’t give up even when it
looks as though she’s beaten.
But her staying powers were rely tested by this little conundrum.
HER CUSTOMER
No-Stress Express Couriers is a
company she’s tried to break into
for several years, but their print
requirements were always straightforward and bought
on price. Until that is, their marketing director instigated a promotional campaign to link in with an important
exhibition.
WHAT HE WANTED - INNOVATION
He had designed a promotional leaflet offering free
giveaways to every exhibition visitor. That was the simple bit.
His wish list contained excellent ideas, but some had never been tried before. It’s what we term a proper
challenge.
