Defective parts return tag

l  Another application for faulty/returned goods. This multi-part NCR
      set is attached to all faulty computer equipment (keyboard,
      monitor, hard drive etc) sent back to the Returns Centre.
l  The unique bar code, on each part of the set, allows real-time
      monitoring of the repair.
l  This means better management information as well as minimising
      the total costs of the repair process.

l  Retailers have millions of items passing through their stores and         warehouses every day.
l  A small percentage of these items will be returned by customers, or
      by staff, who spot faults with that item.
l  By attaching a uniquely bar coded tag to the faulty item, the retailer is
      able to track and trace that item back to the original supplier for a  
      credit. Thus automating the process and saving huge sums of money.
